The previous month, Samsung Electronics made a request to Samsung Display to create displays tailored for AI glasses, outlining specific criteria including the product's form and the display area. At present, Samsung is in the process of assessing various panel technologies, such as OLEDoS and LEDoS, with a particular focus on integrating ultra-compact panels measuring less than 0.2 inches. When it comes to the display itself, there's a preference for a 4-bit grayscale to guarantee that text and symbols are easily discernible. The choice between a single-eye or dual-eye display configuration remains undecided. According to industry projections, the product could hit the market anytime from the latter half of next year to the first half of 2028. Taking into account factors like cost and production efficiency, white OLEDoS emerges as a more pragmatic option.
