On September 9, Honor officially announced the rollout of the 'Tap-to-Share Technical Standard,' a groundbreaking initiative it spearheaded. The MagicOS 11 operating system now fully supports seamless cross-brand file sharing with a single tap, with the Honor Magic9 series being the first to offer this innovative feature. Leveraging NFC pairing and Wi-Fi Direct transmission, this technology enables users to share files without relying on mobile data, adding contacts, or scanning QR codes. It's perfect for scenarios like sharing group photos at social gatherings or swiftly distributing office documents among colleagues.
Previously, cross-brand file sharing on Android devices necessitated the use of third-party applications. However, with this new standard, major brands such as Xiaomi, OPPO, and vivo are set to gradually incorporate this functionality, thereby dismantling barriers and facilitating effortless near-field sharing across different Android devices.
