According to reports from South Korean media, Samsung Electronics' latest foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold8, has recently sparked discussions among users. Some South Korean consumers have observed that the corners of the device's inner screen feel somewhat soft to the touch when pressed, and may even exhibit minor indentations. In response, a representative from Samsung Electronics clarified that this is a normal characteristic of the design. Considering the exceptionally slim profile of the phone, the design incorporates a deliberate consideration for potential foreign object intrusion. For instance, if sand particles adhere to the screen surface and are subsequently folded in, they could scratch the inner screen. To mitigate this risk, the display is intentionally engineered to flex slightly, acting as a cushion to prevent screen damage.
