On the evening of September 7th, Xiaomi took the wraps off its latest "medium-fold" flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 18 Fold. This innovative product, which has been in development for over 20 months, represents Xiaomi's most luxurious offering yet and marks the first time a medium-fold design has been introduced to the Xiaomi Digital Series. The Xiaomi 18 Fold is powered by Xiaomi's in-house Xuanjie O3 AI flagship processor, Xiaomi HyperOS 4 system, and the Xiaomi MiMo on-device large model, seamlessly blending Xiaomi's three core self-developed technologies: chip, AI, and OS.

The device boasts a 5.38-inch outer display and a 7.58-inch inner screen, adopting a screen ratio of roughly √2:1, akin to that of standard paper. When folded, the single-side thickness measures just 5.02mm, and the entire phone weighs a mere 219g. In terms of hardware, it is the first to feature the self-developed SoC Xuanjie O3, achieving an impressive AI performance benchmark score of over 5 million. It leverages Changxin LPDDR6 memory with a bandwidth of 113.8GB/s, packs a 6000mAh battery, and supports UWB (Ultra Wideband) technology.

On the software side, the Xiaomi 18 Fold comes pre-loaded with Xiaomi HyperOS 4, which has undergone a comprehensive overhaul centered around three key areas: foundational experience, functional enhancements, and a full-ecosystem AI. Additionally, it incorporates the Xiaomi MiMo on-device large model, enabling it to perform complex AI inference tasks offline, without the need for an internet connection.

The Xiaomi 18 Fold is priced starting at 10,999 yuan, with official sales set to commence at 10:00 AM on September 10th.
