In July 2026, the retail volume of smart glasses, as monitored on three leading e-commerce platforms in China—JD.com, Tmall, and Douyin—amounted to 74,000 units. This marked a 15.3% decline year-on-year and a 20.9% decrease month-on-month. In terms of retail sales, the figure stood at RMB 130 million, showing a 25.8% drop year-on-year and a significant 43.0% slump month-on-month. Runto Technology posits that this trend merely represents a temporary adjustment following the surge in the second quarter, rather than signaling the onset of a sustained downturn for the entire smart glasses industry.
