At the recently concluded IFA 2026 exhibition, Microsoft officially announced that it is undertaking a fresh round of significant performance optimizations for the Windows 11 operating system. These enhancements notably include a substantial reduction in boot time, allowing the lock screen to appear nearly instantaneously. Furthermore, Microsoft has pledged that the forthcoming major update will markedly improve the operational efficiency of Windows 11 on devices equipped with 8GB of memory, while also expediting the response time of security features like Windows Hello. However, the company has refrained from releasing specific data regarding the performance improvements or testing benchmarks.
