Amidst the global surge in memory prices, even Apple, renowned for its premium pricing strategy, is finding it challenging to remain unaffected. Analyst Schrödinger has disclosed that Apple is contemplating a price increase for its Pro Max models. Concurrently, Apple intends to enhance the iPhone 18's performance by equipping it with 12GB of RAM as a standard feature. However, in a bid to manage costs, the screen panel will be downgraded from the initially planned M14 to M12+. Notably, M14 represents Samsung's cutting-edge luminous material, offering superior performance compared to the four-year-old M12+. Apple's decision reflects a strategic effort to optimize resource allocation, prioritizing enhancements that have a more pronounced impact on user experience, such as the RAM upgrade to better support AI functionalities.
