Recently, Luo Yonghao took to Weibo to publicly decry the registration of '120W' as a trademark for chargers by certain merchants. This move, he argued, misleads consumers into thinking it denotes the charging capacity, a claim that has since ignited widespread public concern. Luo Yonghao raised questions about the legitimacy of such trademark registrations, highlighting that consumers, upon purchase, often find that the actual charging capacity is merely around 22.5W—a figure significantly lower than the touted 120W. Furthermore, he revealed that merchants are selling three charger models—67W, 90W, and 120W—that are essentially identical in their internal makeup, differing only in their stickers and trademarks. Although the National Intellectual Property Administration rejected or invalidated such misleading trademarks in March 2026, related products continue to be sold on e-commerce platforms, presenting potential safety hazards to consumers.
