Google has recently issued the Android 16 QPR3 Beta 2.1 update for compatible Pixel devices, and it has also officially announced the imminent release of Android 17’s first beta version (Android 17 Beta 1). As per a post by Google on Reddit, Android 17 Beta 1 is set to be rolled out to users in the near future. This update will encompass a host of bug fixes, along with enhancements in performance and system stability. This version is anticipated to be released concurrently with the pre-order availability of the Pixel 10a phone on February 18. Following several months of rigorous testing and iterative improvements, the final stable version is scheduled for a June 2026 rollout. In terms of its features, Android 17 Beta 1 is fine-tuned on the basis of the Android 16 QPR platform. It will introduce a complete separation between the notification bar and the quick settings panel, offer support for always-on display apps, and present novel features such as a Gaussian blur UI design, floating capsule screen recording, and a native app lock.
