On December 2, Zhejiang province released the "Several Policies for Fostering High-Quality Economic Development (2026 Edition) (Draft for Public Feedback)" to solicit public opinions. These policies aim to advance the construction of a robust civil aviation hub in the province and spur the growth of the low-altitude economy. Key measures include facilitating the launch of over five international routes connecting to major global aviation centers, countries along the "Belt and Road" initiative, and other key destinations. Additionally, the policies seek to broaden the scope of trial operations for transporting sensitive goods in cross-border e-commerce. They also support the construction and management of Class A general aviation airports, the opening of short-haul general aviation routes, and the creation of "pioneering zones" for low-altitude industry development, as well as "early implementation zones" for nurturing the low-altitude economy. The provincial government will offer financial backing for these initiatives, with a strategic plan to inaugurate over 100 new drone routes.
