In response to Typhoon "Jelawat," Jiangsu Province has issued a yellow alert for sea waves at Level III. Forecasts predict waves measuring between 3 and 5 meters in the southern offshore waters and 3 to 4 meters in the northern offshore waters. Additionally, gale force winds exceeding Level 8 have already struck regions including Nantong, Suzhou, and Yancheng, with the maximum wind speed recorded at 27.2 meters per second (equivalent to Level 10 on the Beaufort scale).
