RoboScience has recently announced the successful completion of its angel round of funding, totaling nearly 200 million yuan. This round was led by JD.com, with China Merchants Venture Capital and SenseTime Guoxiang Capital joining as follow-on investors. Existing shareholder Lingyi Venture Capital also increased its investment in the company. Founded at the end of 2024 and officially commencing operations in March of this year, RoboScience had previously secured tens of millions of yuan in seed funding. The company's robotics technology is extensively utilized across various sectors, including industry, logistics, consumer retail, and household applications.
JD.com has been ramping up its investments in embodied intelligence recently, having already backed multiple related enterprises. The company intends to unveil its comprehensive embodied intelligence industrial plan at the 2025 World Robot Conference, encompassing technology, marketing, and scenario applications, among other facets.
