Francisco Gomes Neto, the president of Embraer, emphasized that the proposed tariff policy by the United States would significantly affect the company, estimating an additional cost of approximately RMB 64.23 million per aircraft. Should these tariffs be implemented, it could trigger a cascade of adverse effects, including order cancellations, delivery delays, investment reductions, and employee layoffs. Embraer relies heavily on the United States for the import of certain aircraft components and engines, with the US market comprising 45% of its commercial aircraft sales and 70% of its business jet sales. Notably, Western Airlines has already placed an order for 74 Embraer aircraft, and both parties are currently exploring the possibility of negotiating a postponement in deliveries due to the tariff concerns.
