Recently, Joy Air flight AQ1441 has garnered significant attention from netizens for its peculiar route: a flight from Guangzhou Baiyun Airport returning to the same airport. Screenshots shared by users on travel booking platforms reveal that the flight was initially scheduled to operate from 3:05 AM to 4:35 AM on July 19, leading to erroneous labels such as a "moon-viewing flight" on external platforms. However, the actual flight took place from 5:37 AM to 6:49 AM and was a routine test flight following an engine replacement. Notably, no tickets were sold for this flight, and no passengers were onboard. Additionally, there were no other scheduled flights around this timeframe on July 19. Joy Air has issued a statement confirming that this was a standard test flight conducted in compliance with regulations. The airline is currently investigating the cause of the misleading information displayed on external platforms.
