The high-and-low temperature composite passivated back contact cell (HIBC), an innovative technology independently developed by LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd., has been officially certified by Germany's Institute for Solar Energy Research in Hamelin (ISFH). This groundbreaking cell has achieved a remarkable photoelectric conversion efficiency of 28.13%, setting a new benchmark in the industry and securing a world record. This achievement signifies that, at a minimum, it is the second instance in 2026 where LONGi has surpassed the efficiency record for crystalline silicon cells. Prior to this, in April 2025, the conversion efficiency of the HIBC cell had already reached an impressive 27.81%. Furthermore, in June 2025, LONGi unveiled its HIBC technology and commenced mass production of module products, boasting module power exceeding 700W and a mass production efficiency of 25.9%.
