On December 24, the Innovation and Technology Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government rolled out a series of optimized measures for the Technology Talent Admission Scheme. These measures are strategically designed to expedite the recruitment process of global innovation and technology talents by qualified companies. By doing so, the government aims to significantly expand Hong Kong's reservoir of innovation and technology expertise, thereby fueling the city's innovation and technological advancement.

The specific measures encompass:

• Streamlining the application procedure by enabling companies to concurrently submit quota and visa applications, thereby reducing administrative burdens and accelerating the recruitment timeline.
• Lifting restrictions on research and development activities across 14 designated technology sectors, fostering a more open and conducive environment for technological exploration and innovation.
• Establishing a dedicated application portal for the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park, offering one-stop services to streamline the application process and enhance the overall efficiency for companies seeking to tap into this vibrant innovation hub.
