At our esteemed university, the research team spearheaded by Academician Guo Guangcan has achieved a remarkable milestone in the realm of high-performance on-chip quantum light sources. Led by Professor Shi Baosen and Associate Professor Zhou Zhiyuan, the research group has introduced an innovative approach. This method leverages incoherent light to efficiently craft high-quality quantum light sources directly onto silicon-based photonic chips. Their pioneering work paves the way for the development of integrated quantum light sources that are not only stable and efficient but also cost-effective. The groundbreaking findings were published online in Nature Communications on December 11, marking a significant leap forward in quantum technology.
