On December 18 local time, Trump Media & Technology Group and fusion energy company TAE Technologies signed a definitive merger agreement. They will merge through an all-stock transaction, with a deal value exceeding $6 billion. After the merger, shareholders of both parties will each hold approximately 50% of the shares in the new company. The new company plans to select a site and commence construction of its first utility-scale fusion power plant in 2026, subject to obtaining relevant approvals.
