From January to May 2026, China's total software business revenue exceeded RMB 6.2 trillion, representing a year-on-year increase of 10.3%, indicating a steady growth trend in the industry. All sub-sectors are showing strong development momentum, with accelerated commercialization of basic software. The open-source HarmonyOS system now covers multiple terminals, with over 1.35 billion ecological devices and more than 100 industry-specific distribution versions. In the industrial software sector, a complete product system has been established, with key industrial enterprises demonstrating stable performance in core digitalization metrics. AI technology is comprehensively empowering the software industry, with new R&D tools becoming widespread and innovative applications continuously being implemented. The domestic open-source ecosystem is thriving, with the national AI open-source community registering over 11 million users, hosting more than 70,000 models, and the cumulative global downloads of self-developed AI open-source large models surpassing 10 billion. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will follow the deployment to enhance the supply capacity of key core software, introduce a special action plan for the integrated development of AI and software, promote intelligent transformation and upgrading of the software industry, and foster new business formats to strengthen the industry's global core competitiveness.
