On July 9 (local time), Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, stated that although the company requires as much computing power as possible, given the current situation where AI computing power is in short supply, he is considering leasing some of Meta's AI infrastructure to external clients. Zuckerberg pointed out that the market is offering very high prices for computing power, and in some cases, leasing it out might be more valuable than keeping it for internal use. He emphasized that this does not mean Meta has an excess of computing power, as the company is still fully utilizing all its computational resources.
