On June 22, the Power Construction Corporation of China made an announcement stating that its Xiong'an · PowerChina Smart City project, which it both constructs and manages, has inked a deal with Pinduoduo Group. Pinduoduo is set to establish its presence in the Digital New Consumption E-commerce Industrial Park within the project through a comprehensive acquisition. The Xiong'an · PowerChina Smart City project spans an impressive total construction area of 1,666,800 square meters, encompassing 102 buildings that house a wide array of business operations. The specific building acquired by Pinduoduo is situated within this park, which is well-appointed with daily amenities and features Xiong'an's inaugural large-scale commercial complex.

On June 15, Pinduoduo's newly established entity in Xiong'an welcomed its inaugural cohort of 150 directly recruited employees. Since its inception, the company has ramped up its targeted recruitment initiatives, averaging nearly thirty new hires per workday. The majority of these recruits hail from the digital economy sector, with over 80% originating from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. In May of this year, Pinduoduo Group founded Pinduoduo Information Technology Services (Xiong'an) Co., Ltd., backed by an initial cash investment of 500 million yuan. The new venture will concentrate on areas such as big data processing. Throughout the recruitment phase, it is projected to generate over 5,000 local job opportunities.
