On October 11, at the 2025 China Mobile Global Partners Conference, Zhong Zhihong, Chief Engineer at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), announced a commitment to establishing a robust foundation and constructing an intelligent, all-encompassing information infrastructure. The ministry aims to foster the synchronized advancement of dual-gigabit networks (comprising both 5G and gigabit broadband), expand 5G-A network reach in major urban centers and high-traffic zones, facilitate the shift of 10-gigabit optical networks from experimental trials to real-world deployment, and refine the configuration of computing infrastructure. This will bolster the diversified provision, intelligent orchestration, and efficient exploitation of computational resources.
