On Thursday, South Korea's LG Electronics and SK Innovation declared their intention to collaborate in crafting cutting-edge cooling solutions tailored for artificial intelligence (AI) data centers. As outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) inked by both entities, in response to the burgeoning demand for AI data centers, the two firms will collectively participate in bidding for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) solution projects. Specifically, LG Electronics is set to furnish air-cooled chillers and fans, whereas SK Innovation will offer power and energy-efficient solutions. Furthermore, the duo will embark on a joint research and development endeavor to create a next-generation, automatically controlled cooling system that leverages real-time AI analysis.
