Huawei Unveils Super Nodes and Clusters with Unparalleled Computing Might Globally

During Huawei Connect 2025, Xu Zhijun, who serves as both Deputy Chairman and Rotating Chairman of Huawei, introduced super nodes and clusters that boast the most formidable computing power in the world. He highlighted that, despite being physically constructed from multiple machines, super nodes can conceptually be treated as a singular entity capable of learning, contemplating, and reasoning. Huawei has launched two super node products: the Atlas 950 SuperPoD and the Atlas 960 SuperPoD. These products can accommodate 8,192 and 15,488 Ascend cards, respectively. Additionally, leveraging these super nodes, Huawei has also unveiled two super node clusters: the Atlas 950 SuperCluster and the Atlas 960 SuperCluster. These clusters possess computing capabilities that surpass the 500,000-card threshold and extend to the million-card level, respectively. Xu Zhijun expressed his unwavering confidence that, armed with these super nodes and clusters featuring the world's most potent computing power, Huawei is poised to offer enduring and ample computing support to fuel the long-term and accelerated growth of artificial intelligence.
