This strategic move coincides with Trump's upcoming visit to the UK and is aimed at meeting the soaring demand for digital infrastructure, fueled by the rapid advancements in AI and cloud computing. The investments are also set to drive significant upgrades to the existing UK data center landscape and foster deeper collaboration between the US and the UK. Notably, the BlackRock Group is set to invest £500 million in a joint venture with data center operator Gravity Edge. This collaboration will primarily focus on acquiring and upgrading underutilized data centers, thereby optimizing their capacity and efficiency.
