On October 16th, a research team under the leadership of Academician Yu Dapeng from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and headed by Tan Dian of the Shenzhen Institute for Quantum Science and Engineering, achieved a significant experimental breakthrough in the realm of phonon quantum information, in collaboration with researchers from the University of Stuttgart in Germany. For the inaugural time, they successfully created and transmitted multi-party genuinely entangled phonon states across different nodes using a scalable two-dimensional hybrid quantum chip platform. These pioneering results were published in the esteemed international academic journal Science on the same day, Beijing time.
