On September 10, 2026, Apple officially launched the cutting-edge A20 Pro chip. This advanced chip is built on a 2-nanometer process technology, featuring a hexacore CPU configuration that includes two desktop-grade ultra-large cores and four energy-efficient cores, along with a heptacore GPU. Additionally, the chip incorporates two neural engines with a combined total of 32 cores, substantially boosting on-device AI capabilities. The A20 Pro is compatible with LPDDR5X memory, with its bit width expanded to 96 bits, resulting in a 15% performance increase and a 30% improvement in energy efficiency compared to its predecessor. This remarkable chip will make its first appearance in the iPhone 18 Pro series and Apple's inaugural foldable smartphone.
