Recently, Renesas Electronics, a prominent manufacturer in the power semiconductor sector, has declared its intention to revise its product pricing framework, with the new rates set to take effect from January 1, 2027. This marks the second time this year that Renesas Electronics has notified customers of impending price hikes; the previous announcement was made in March, with the increased prices coming into force on July 1. The company has attributed this latest price adjustment to structural cost escalations within the industry, encompassing factors such as rising raw material expenses, energy costs, advanced packaging technologies, manufacturing capacity constraints, and global logistics challenges.
