Harrison Kim, General Manager of OpenAI Korea, revealed at a press conference on Wednesday that significant progress has been made in the joint production and research of next-generation chips through the collaboration between OpenAI and Samsung Electronics, which has gained widespread recognition. He mentioned that Samsung Electronics is one of the largest enterprises globally in terms of ChatGPT adoption, with its employees in Korea and overseas using ChatGPT across various aspects including R&D, marketing, and sales. Kim also pointed out that as chip technology continues to upgrade to meet faster and more complex computing demands, the market demand for memory chips will continue to grow. Therefore, collaborating with Korean semiconductor suppliers has become a priority for OpenAI locally.
