Prior to this incident, the processor had demonstrated stable performance for approximately one and a half years on an ASRock X670E Taichi Carrara motherboard. At the time of the failure, the user had merely selected memory presets in the BIOS, without engaging in any overclocking or voltage adjustments—practices commonly associated with hardware stress.

Following the failure, the motherboard displayed an error code, and upon closer inspection, two burn marks were discovered on the processor. In an attempt to troubleshoot, the user reverted to their original Ryzen 5 8500G processor, only to find that this backup unit also failed to boot up.
