GlobalFoundries has reached a final agreement with the CHIPS R&D Office of the U.S. Department of Commerce to receive up to $375 million in R&D funding. The funds, to be disbursed over five years and tied to R&D milestones, will be used to advance its quantum technology solutions business and build quantum semiconductor manufacturing capabilities in the United States.
