Asahi Linux Announces Official Support for Apple's M3 Series Chips

The open-source project Asahi Linux has made significant progress by officially announcing initial native support for Apple's M3 series Apple Silicon chips, further expanding Linux's compatibility range on Apple's custom-designed chip hardware. This breakthrough signifies a key advancement in enabling Mac devices equipped with M3 series chips to break free from the constraints of macOS and run third-party operating systems. Currently, nearly all features supported on M1 and M2 work normally on M3, but some functionalities, such as GPU hardware acceleration, are still under development. Asahi Linux plans to fully roll out this milestone M3 support code to general users via a one-click installer in the coming weeks.
