On August 4, during the midday trading break, the Hang Seng Index experienced a 0.49% decline, while the Hang Seng Tech Index saw a 0.19% decrease. The semiconductor and optical module sectors emerged as the frontrunners in terms of gains. Notably, Zhongji Xuguang and Cambridge Technology both witnessed a remarkable surge, with their shares soaring over 16%. Tansichip also posted significant gains, rising more than 10%, and GigaDevice's shares increased by over 5%. In contrast, China Construction Bank and Agricultural Bank of China both suffered declines of more than 2%. Meanwhile, southbound capital demonstrated net purchases amounting to HKD 2.061 billion.
