After a year's hiatus, Samsung Electronics regained its position as the leader in the global DRAM market share rankings in the fourth quarter of the previous year, a title previously held by SK Hynix. During this quarter, Samsung Electronics reported revenues amounting to US$25.9 billion, reflecting a 34% sequential growth. Specifically, its DRAM business generated US$19.2 billion in revenue, while its NAND business brought in US$6.7 billion. In comparison, SK Hynix posted revenues of US$22.4 billion during the same period. Samsung capitalized on its cutting-edge process technologies, such as 1c and HBM4, to accurately cater to the server market's needs, thereby reclaiming its leading position. Analysts observed that Samsung stood out in the commodity DRAM sector, with its technological innovations offering substantial benefits in terms of speed and energy efficiency.
