On January 9, Bobantang reported that NVIDIA has informed AIC (Add-in-Card) brand manufacturers of an indefinite delay in the launch of the RTX 50 SUPER series graphics cards. Additionally, no details regarding new GPU products were unveiled at the CES exhibition. Initially, the series was set to encompass three models: the RTX 5080 SUPER, RTX 5070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 5070 SUPER, with a primary focus on boosting memory capacity. The postponement stems from three key factors: Firstly, there has been a sharp uptick in demand for GPUs designed for computing tasks, leading NVIDIA to redirect more of its production capabilities towards manufacturing higher-margin computing GPUs. Secondly, escalating storage product prices are expected to substantially raise material costs associated with enhancing memory capacity. Thirdly, AMD has no current plans to introduce a new generation of consumer-grade GPUs in 2026, which grants NVIDIA's existing RTX 50 series graphics cards a competitive advantage in the market.
