On November 24, Beijing Boson Quantum Technology Co., Ltd. formally inaugurated its “Dedicated Photonic Quantum Computer Production Facility” in Shenzhen. This event heralds the establishment of China’s first large-scale production hub for dedicated photonic quantum computers, signaling a significant leap: China’s practical coherent photonic quantum computers have now successfully advanced from the “laboratory proof-of-concept” phase to the “engineering mass production” stage. Wen Kai, the founder and CEO of Boson Quantum, announced that the facility’s initial objective is to attain an annual production volume of several dozen dedicated photonic quantum computers, with intentions to further augment capacity in response to future market needs.
