The Interconnected Sensing Integrated Circuits and Systems Team from the School of Microelectronics at Tianjin University has been carrying out systematic research in pivotal areas, including 5G/6G communication and brain-computer interfaces, in line with the objectives set out in the "15th Five-Year Plan". Their efforts have culminated in seven remarkable achievements. In the realm of 5G/6G communication, the team has put forward innovative power amplifier topologies and theories. They've engineered high-gain millimeter-wave antenna arrays, crafted low-loss frequency source oscillator chips, and designed a variety of radio frequency integrated circuits. These endeavors have significantly propelled the progress of 5G/6G communication technologies. Turning to brain-computer interfaces, the team has made history by developing the world's inaugural "dual-loop" brain-computer interface system. This breakthrough enables efficient drone control through human brain signals. Moreover, they've constructed the planet's first bespoke magnetic resonance platform dedicated to brain-computer interaction, offering vital support for research in brain science.
