Recently, the 2025 Operating System Conference, with the theme “Intelligence Without Boundaries, Open Source to Infinity,” took place at the Zhongguancun International Innovation Center in Beijing. This event was co-organized by the OpenAtom OpenEuler Community and numerous industry partners, with the primary objective of rallying global industry forces to expedite the growth of the worldwide open-source ecosystem for foundational software.
Over the past six years of open-source development, the OpenEuler Community has flourished. It now encompasses over 2,100 member organizations, more than 23,000 global contributors, and a user base exceeding 5.5 million. By the end of 2025, the total number of installations for operating systems based on openEuler is projected to surpass 16 million units.
Looking to the future, the OpenEuler Community is embarking on a new five-year development phase. It plans to officially roll out an operating system tailored for super nodes by the end of 2025. This move positions openEuler at the forefront of the AI era and accelerates its global expansion.
