Recently, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology officially released the approval documentation for major provincial science and technology projects slated for 2025. The project titled "Research on Routing Methods and EDA Software for Ultra-Large-Scale Integrated Circuits Supporting 7nm and Beyond", spearheaded by the Wuxi Research Institute of Peking University Electronic Design Automation (EDA), has successfully secured both approval and substantial support. This initiative is strategically designed to surmount critical technological hurdles in the realm of ultra-large-scale integrated circuit routing. By developing proprietary EDA software toolchains, the project aims to elevate China's proficiency in integrated circuit design automation, thereby alleviating the 'bottleneck' issues prevalent in high-end chip research and development. Ultimately, it seeks to furnish robust technical backing for the high-caliber progression of the integrated circuit sector, not only within Wuxi City but also on a national scale.
