On November 7, 2025, according to The Information, the White House has notified other federal agencies that Nvidia is not allowed to sell its latest 'scaled-down' artificial intelligence chip, the B30A, to China. Previously, Nvidia had provided samples of this chip to several Chinese customers. If effectively arranged in large clusters, this chip can be used to train large language models. Nvidia is modifying the design of the B30A, hoping that the US government will reconsider this stance.
