Japanese electronic component supplier Kaga Electronics has announced plans to inaugurate a new contract manufacturing facility in Thailand, backed by an investment amounting to billions of yen. The factory is slated to begin operations within this year and is projected to enhance Thailand's production capacity by roughly 30%. This new facility will specialize in circuit board assembly, catering to the requirements of manufacturers who are relocating their operations from China. Presently, Kaga Electronics operates two factories in Thailand; the upcoming third factory will span an area of 4,400 square meters.
