On August 16, Yu Chengdong, Executive Director of Huawei and Chairman of the Terminal BG, discussed the progression of the HarmonyOS operating system on CCTV Finance's Dialogue program. Addressing user concerns regarding application compatibility and performance, Yu Chengdong affirmed that these challenges, while present in the early stages of app development, have since been rectified through iterative improvements. He further disclosed that the WeChat location sharing feature will soon become available. Additionally, he noted that Huawei intends to roll out HarmonyOS 5.0 upgrades to users of older phone models, anticipating that its vast user base of hundreds of millions will progressively benefit from a more seamless user experience.
