The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs engaged in discussions with the Hainan Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government, underscoring their commitment to bolstering Hainan's agricultural science and technology innovation efforts, as well as constructing the National Seed Industry Innovation Base in Hainan and the Yazhou Bay National Laboratory. Both parties highlighted their shared ambition to expedite the consolidation of seed industry innovation resources, cultivate tropical high-efficiency agriculture and marine fisheries, fortify the gains made in poverty eradication, and foster rural development. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs pledged to assist Hainan in leveraging its natural resources and the policy benefits of the Free Trade Port to establish a pinnacle for agricultural science and technology innovation.
