Ant Group has recently inaugurated a cutting-edge General Artificial Intelligence (AGI) Research Center, nestled within the Ant Technology Research Institute. This center is dedicated to pioneering fundamental research in AGI technology. Under the leadership of Dr. Lan Zhenzhong, key personnel including Zhao Junbo, Wu Yi, and Wu Wei, form the core team. Prior to this restructuring, the AGI research department was under the direction of CTO He Zhengyu. This shift is designed to sharpen the focus of AGI research on technological advancements. Dr. Lan Zhenzhong, a Sun Yat-sen University alumnus with a Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University, boasts a distinguished career, including his tenure as a scientist at Google Lab. He is also among the pioneering researchers in large model technology in China.
