Musk emphasized that xAI and Tesla have already engaged in technology and resource sharing, citing the deployment of xAI's Grok chatbot in Tesla vehicles as an example. While xAI's latest flagship model, Grok 4, currently trails ChatGPT in terms of user base, an investment from Tesla could significantly bolster xAI's AI development efforts. The exact date for the shareholder vote has yet to be announced, but Tesla's annual shareholder meeting is scheduled for November 6.
