On October 14th, Tencent made an announcement that WeCom has unveiled version 5.0.12, marking its official integration with WorkBuddy to forge a profound and mutually collaborative relationship. Following this upgrade, WorkBuddy is seamlessly incorporated into the WeCom contact list, granting it the ability to tap into the work context and share the WeCom account system. Users now have the convenience of claiming bots from the sidebar and assigning tasks through direct conversations in the chat interface, eliminating the need for any redirection. Within the scope of authorization, WorkBuddy is capable of reading materials such as messages and documents, dissecting tasks, executing them, and feeding the results back into the WeCom conversation. Administrators, from the backend, can allocate quotas, manage computing resources, and impose restrictions on data access ranges.
