Meta's AI assistant, Muse, surpassed 5 million downloads approximately three weeks after its launch, successfully topping the free app chart on the US App Store and maintaining its lead for 12 consecutive days. Compared to similar AI applications like ChatGPT, Grok, and Claude, Muse achieved this download milestone at a faster pace. In the US market, only three non-gaming apps had previously exceeded 5 million downloads within 22 days of launch. As an AI agent assistant, Muse is capable of performing multi-step tasks on behalf of users, such as browsing the web, sending emails, and online shopping. Starting from September 16, Meta ramped up its advertising efforts for Muse, resulting in a 73% month-on-month increase in downloads on that day. Recently, Muse has accounted for up to 50% of Meta's own ad impressions.
