The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has released a new directive, advocating for the accelerated deployment of 400Gbps and 800Gbps backbone transmission networks. This initiative aims to enhance the network transmission pathways connecting key national hub nodes across the eastern, central, and western regions. Concurrently, the ministry will systematically advance the adoption of metropolitan-scale 400Gbps and higher-speed optical transmission system equipment, refine the configuration of backbone direct internet connections and new internet exchange centers, and elevate the efficiency of inter-network data transmission. Furthermore, the directive calls for streamlining the network architecture from core to edge, upgrading computing access networks at strategic locations, and establishing metropolitan-wide millisecond-level low-latency computing access capabilities.
