On June 10, reports emerged indicating that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has recently released the Implementation Guidelines for the Innovative Development of 'Artificial Intelligence + Information and Communication' (2026-2028). Centered around the demands for intelligent, digital, and networked transformations in sectors such as raw materials, electronic information, and equipment manufacturing, these guidelines advocate for the construction of a cutting-edge industrial network. They emphasize the need to expedite the widespread adoption and utilization of the industrial internet and to establish a multi-tiered, systematic industrial internet platform framework. Concurrently, the guidelines aim to nurture a cadre of industrial agents, foster the integrated development of comprehensive information services encompassing network solutions and large-scale industry models, and expand the deployment of 5G and optical networks in domains like intelligent transportation, intelligent equipment inspection, and industrial visual inspection. Additionally, the guidelines encourage the delivery of tailored and modularized 'network + artificial intelligence' services to small and medium-sized enterprises, addressing their unique needs, propelling the development of innovative industrial clusters towards intelligence, and constructing 'smart clusters'.
