On Wednesday local time, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, responding to questions from Wall Street analysts, stated that the revised partnership between Microsoft and OpenAI represents a beneficial deal for all parties involved. He emphasized his consistent focus on a 'win-win' structure within partnerships, believing it to be crucial for sustaining long-term collaboration. According to the new agreement, Microsoft's intellectual property license for OpenAI's models and products will become non-exclusive, extending its validity until 2032. Microsoft will no longer pay revenue shares to OpenAI but will remain OpenAI's primary cloud partner, with OpenAI's new products being prioritized for release on Microsoft Azure cloud.
